UKPass is an educational mobile application that helps you prepare for the Life in the UK Test. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We do not require account creation, and we do not collect personally identifiable information directly. The following categories of data are collected automatically through third-party services:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. UKPass contains no third-party advertising SDKs.
If you enable study reminders, notifications are scheduled entirely on your device using the operating system's local-notification API. No personal data is transmitted to our servers for this purpose. You can disable reminders at any time in the in-app Settings screen, or in the Android system notification settings.
UKPass is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us through the UKPass developer contact details on our Google Play Store listing.
UK residents (UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, and port your personal data, and the right to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
EEA residents (GDPR): You have the same rights as above and may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA): You have the right to know, access, delete, and correct personal information we hold. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined under the CCPA / CPRA.
To exercise your rights, contact us through the developer contact details on our Google Play Store listing. Because we do not collect identifying information, you may need to provide your device's advertising ID and approximate dates of use so we can locate any data associated with you.
Anonymous usage and crash data is retained by our service providers for up to 14 months. Data stored locally on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Our service providers (Google) may process data in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. These transfers are made under appropriate safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to that framework, and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
We rely on the security measures of our service providers (Google / Firebase) for data we send to them, and on the operating system's sandboxing for data stored on your device. No method of internet transmission is completely secure.
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify users of material changes through the app or via the Play Store listing, and will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
